FormscanBy Tom Weekes - LE RICHEBOURG showed a high level of ability in two bumper runs and looks the type to pick up his early-season maiden hurdle win here, before his summer break. He caught the eye on debut at Naas before again chasing home Debuchet at Leopardstown, with that rival subsequently adding considerable weight to the form before finishing second in the Cheltenham Festival Bumper. Easy Gold showed fairly limited ability in three flat starts in Britain before being transferred to Willie Mullins and he is clearly a notable runner. He was taken out of a Tramore maiden hurdle in April (coughing) and while market confidence would be notable, he will need to be smart to beat the selection. Unicorn, a stablemate of the selection’s, was himself taken out of a Cork maiden hurdle seven days ago, when also reported to be coughing, and is a very notable recruit to hurdling. He appears second-string on jockey bookings but was a 96 rated flat performer with ability to win plenty races over jumps. Both The Moore Factor and Turbine have also shown solid ability on the flat but might each be worth watching on their respective hurdles debuts. Denham Sound caught the eye at Cork latest and with the booking of Davy Russell being notable, she would have claims if progressing.
