FormscanBy Tom Weekes - MOMUS has shown a nice level of ability thus far and can get off the mark over a favourable trip here. He won a 2m4f bumper at Roscommon in May before running a good race when third in a better maiden (the fourth win her next start) on his reappearance run at Galway in October. He appears to stay very well, comes here fit and well and is open to plenty more progression. Defi Bleu is himself useful and is a big danger which seemingly not a lot between the pair. He won a bumper at Navan in December and while he was well held at Grade 2 level on hurdles debut, he did run a very good race when second at Down Royal recently. He has yet to prove himself over this middle distance trip and while he should have no problem getting the extra half mile, he may find the selection slightly too strong. Dos Gardenias is a very notable Irish debutante, having won two French bumpers. Those wins were gained over much sharper 1m3f and 1m5f trips but he nonetheless showed plenty ability and has since joined a leading owner. Denwork, another Gigginstown runner, is also fairly useful but probably needs to improve to win while Curious Times also needs to show improvement to figure.
