The testing ground and uphill finish again spread-eagled the field in the closing stages as THEICECREAMFELLOW and RING STREET ROLLER - both course and distance winners here last month - fought out the finish.

Theicreamfellow, below form last time when he returned with a grazed leg, again showed the battling qualities that served him well here last month to edge ahead on the run-in, while the well-backed Ring Street Roller (11/2-4/1) lost nothing in defeat. She has done well this spring following a two year absence, although the handicapper will undoubtedly make things more difficult in future as the pair pulled 18 lengths clear.

ARVIZ appeared to be travelling sweetly on the heels of the leaders two out. However it is still a long way home from that point, and he was a spent force approaching the last. DIVINSHKI came from off the pace to look a threat after two out but his run also petered out before the last. The lightly-raced 8yo has obviously had his problems but gave some cause for optimism.

LOUGH FERRIB, off the course since gambled-on nearly five months ago at Thurles, was unable to go with the pace from three out and was eventually beaten a long way.
