Formscan By Tom Weekes - MACIVER is a five-time winner who is ideally suited by testing ground and this distance. The winner of four consecutive races last year, he has finished second on both his hurdle starts this season and while his rating has now climbed to 96, his rider claims 7lb and he contests a winnable handicap. Dancing After Dark is a dual point-to-point winner who is also well suited by conditions. She ran satisfactorily at Punchestown last month and a reproduction should see her get involved. Previous course winner Lep Around ran nicely over fences on a recent reappearance run while Mistyburn won a point-to-point last May and while his form is largely poor, drops markedly in grade over a suitable distance.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards (110 = 12st 4lbs)
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each hurdle race won.
Riders - Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules and Riders who are members of the Fegentri. Note: This is a Fegentri Race and there will be 4 International Riders and 1 Irish Rider selected to ride the top 5 horses by race card order in this race after the time of declarations. The draw will be made by the Declarations Department of Horse Racing Ireland. N.B. Riders will receive allowances under Rule 52 in this race.

That is unbelievable as I never thought I'd experience it,. I have the license a long time and have had a few placed horses down through the years but breaking and pre-training is our main gig. . We have a handful of point-to-pointers, she is the only horse we have for the track and I bred her myself. The Costellos, who have Lough Bar in Limerick city, bought her from me before she won her maiden point to point and were very good to leave her with me. They have been very good and very patient and I'm glad to repay them with a winner. She won two point to points well but for whatever reason, we couldn't get it together on the track. We have now though and this is local to us and to the owners so is great. She was up distance and down in grade today and probably handled the ground better than others. She is a strong mare and is very versatile with ground and trip. She might come back here during Christmas.
