Formscan By Alan Magee - Jack Kennedy is an interesting jockey booking on QUINTA DO LAGO (2) and the Jessica Harrington-trained gelding gets the vote. The son of Galiway won three times over hurdles last season and had Riskaway behind when successful at the Punchestown Festival. He should benefit from a recent run on the Flat at Navan. Generous Risk was campaigned in top company last season and won a Leopardstown maiden in good style, while Sageborough has gained both previous wins at Wexford and may prove best of the remainder.

Quotes on Generous Risk (FR)
To be fair he’s not a bad horse. He had a couple of good runs in bumpers,. He was just being hard on himself in bumpers, so we said we’d go jumping. He’ll probably make a chaser next year. It’s not like us to go jumping a hurdle at this time of year, but he’s six so we said we’d let him rock on. I think he’s a nice horse, he had a really good run in Fairyhouse. He jumped great. He might go to Fairyhouse for something, and he could be a horse for Aintree.

Quotes on Quinta Do Lago (FR)
We don’t have many national hunt horses now. I’d like a few more of them, we can still train them!. He was bought at the Orby Sale to be a two-year-old and run in the ‘Million’ but it didn’t happen. He was a backward three-year-old so we decided to keep him for an academy hurdle. I was determined if I was going to go for that I was going to win it. Then he won his maiden hurdle here. He went to Cheltenham and finished fifth in the ‘Fred Winter’ and I’d say he’s only really coming to himself now. I’d say what he really appreciated today was the step up in trip. He’s always been a strong stayer. To give them time and patience is the hardest thing.

Quotes on Sageborough (FR)
He won his maiden hurdle here and he was actually running a respectable race in Cheltenham when he fell two from home. Today off his mark we would have been disappointed if he hadn’t been involved. Sean was pleased with him. Coming down the hill it looked like he was going to be in trouble a bit, but he was tracking Henry’s horse and the gaps appeared for him because he tracked him. He jumped the last well and got on top, so we’re delighted. We thought a nice bit of him coming to his maiden hurdle here and then he obviously disappointed, but I’d say that’s his ground. He wears a tongue-tie for a reason. We won’t be letting him out (to grass).

Quotes on Mojoe (IRE)
I thought Simon was class on him. He’s not the most straightforward horse in the world, he can be on and off the bridle. When he’s free, he’s very free, and then he can be hard to get going. His jumping was a lot slicker today, I was a bit worried with it being his first handicap. I think the third-last was the only one he missed, other than that he was foot perfect. The ground probably isn’t as tacky as yesterday, so lucky enough that he was in today rather than yesterday. I’m delighted for Jim (Browne, owner), he’d be more used to the Flat than jumps. This is more of a novelty for him and it’s great to get a winner for him. We’ll see what the handicapper does now. We might have to look at a ‘120’ with him, something similar over two-and-a-half (miles).

Quotes on Speisialta (IRE)
She's worked and done plenty of schooling on soft ground, so I was fairly confident that she'd handle conditions. Tight tracks and small fields suit her, and she obviously likes this place. She's gradually settling down with racing, that's the only thing that has worked. All of the jockeys that have schooled her have said she'll do well over fences, so we might give her a break now and bring her back novice chasing next year.
