Leopardstown Tue, 3rd Mar, 2026
Torpille Dagrostis She’d been knocking on the door. It was probably her race to lose, but I was a bit nervous running her back quick. The race kind of found us, more than us going looking for a race,. She’ll definitely get a trip and she’ll jump a fence in time too. She’s got a good pedigree and if we could rob a bit of black-type with her, it would be very important. She’s a full-sister to Itchy Feet. |

Generous Risk To be fair he’s not a bad horse. He had a couple of good runs in bumpers,. He was just being hard on himself in bumpers, so we said we’d go jumping. He’ll probably make a chaser next year. It’s not like us to go jumping a hurdle at this time of year, but he’s six so we said we’d let him rock on. I think he’s a nice horse, he had a really good run in Fairyhouse. He jumped great. He might go to Fairyhouse for something, and he could be a horse for Aintree. |

Jacob's Ladder He’s very gutsy and going the right way over fences. He was stepping into a graded race and has won a lot of prize-money. He picked up and galloped, so we are very happy. He did get through the ground, but Jack (Kennedy) said he struggled on it. He won’t go to Cheltenham, we might look at Fairyhouse or Aintree all being well. |

Jacob's Ladder Jacob’s Ladder was stepping into a graded race and he has now won a lot of prize money (adding today’s €21,000). He was very gutsy and is going the right way over fences. He picked up and galloped, so we are very happy. He did get through the ground, although Jack said he struggled on it. He won't go to Cheltenham, we might look at Fairyhouse or Aintree all being well. |
Fairyhouse Sat, 21st Feb, 2026
Mode Avion To be honest, it didn’t look the strongest race in the world. It was a good performance, but it was a good opportunity,. I think he’s come on a bit from Thurles (third there last month), he’s a grand horse. We might jump a fence with him sooner rather than later. We might try and use his four-year-old allowances over fences, he jumps great. |
Punchestown Wed, 18th Feb, 2026
Straight John It probably wasn’t the strongest race in the world and I’d say he probably wants two-and-a-half miles. I’d say a rated hurdle somewhere would suit him well, he ran a nice race. He’s very straightforward. I’d say he wants further and Jack said the track was pretty tight for him. |

Soul Asylum He’s a nice horse, a big galloper. He’s a next year horse really. You might see him in Fairyhouse or somewhere like that for a bumper. He wouldn’t be a horse that would be travelling to Cheltenham; he’s a big baby. If you watch his point-to-point the penny only really dropped, and he got galloping, late on. It wasn’t ideal to make the running today, but we had to go on as there was no gallop. |
Navan Sun, 8th Feb, 2026
Coyote Spirit they went a good gallop, the ground is very soft and Coyote Spirit got through it, but Jack said it was hard work. He mightn't want it that soft, although the strong gallop might have suited. He had a good run in Leopardstown a couple of runs ago. |
Navan Sun, 8th Feb, 2026
Staffordshire Knot we couldn't get Staffordshire Knot to finish races last year, but this year he has just turned the corner. Even looking at him, he is a different horse and I was very happy with his run. I thought it was a good performance and he had fitness on his side. He's qualified for the Pertemps in Cheltenham, so could end up somewhere like that but we'll see as there are Grade 2s and Grade 3s around Ireland where he could pick up a cheque every day. |

Staffordshire Knot It is a lucky race for us. Navan is a great track and we love it here. It’s great to win it again,. I thought it was a good performance by Staffordshire Knot and he had fitness on his side. We couldn’t get him to finish races last year but this year he has just turned the corner. Even looking at him, he is a different horse. We’re very happy with his run. He’s qualified for the Pertemps in Cheltenham, so he could end up somewhere like that. We’ll see as there are Grade Twos and Grade Threes around Ireland that he could pick up a cheque in every day. |

Jalon D'oudairies He had good form; he hasn’t been the easiest horse to train but I’d say he’s in a good place there at the moment. I liked the way he went from the last to the line, even though it wasn’t the strongest race in the world. That’s our 150th winner of the year in Ireland. It’s another milestone and it’s important. The horses are running well, we’ve a good bunch, and Jack is riding out of his skin as well. |

Highland Crystal She’s tough. She gave herself a little nick and Jack said she was leaning a little bit right the whole way up the straight. She’s gutsy. He said it wasn’t really ideal being in front either as she was looking around the whole way. She picked up and galloped. The (race) conditions weren’t really right for her here. She’s probably more of a Fred Winter filly really but we’ll see what mark she gets. She could maybe be a filly that we keep for Fairyhouse over two-and-a-half miles; it might suit her better. She’s black-type now and she’s won three races so she’s very gutsy. |
