Kings Hill He is a good horse, but didn't get the rub of the green for a while and he had surgery on a kissing spine. Since he started jumping fences, he is a different horse and he is entitled to win today's race with his run in the Supreme (Novices Hurdle of 2024). He will be better on better ground and his time of year is coming, so we'll place him as we go by. I would have loved him to go to Cheltenham, but one of his owners preferred to stay home with him and, with the slow year we've had, the horses are only coming back to form now. We're better off to get a winner here. Jack is at home with us three days a week, is now with Oliver McKiernan and other local trainers, but it is hard for these guys who are attached to small yards. |
