Formscan By Gary Carson - It’s hard to look past CHARLES DARWIN, who could be an exciting prospect in the sprinting division this season. The No Nay Never colt ended his juvenile campaign with an impressive success in Group 2 company at Ascot in June. He wasn’t seen after that but showed his well being with an eye-catching piece of work at the Curragh a few weeks ago. Silk Braid made a good impression when winning on her debut at the Curragh in October and it will be interesting to see how she measures up. She gets a nice 10lb pull at the weights. Former Ballydoyle inmate Frescobaldi has joined Danny Murphy, who does well with sprinting types. He’s another to note.

he is a lovely, big, powerful and strong horse and we always thought was an Ascot horse. He was very green in the Curragh and the race was a bit messy and he did everything right today. He travelled, has loads of speed and quickened very well. He's not short of speed so it will be the Coventry or Norfolk for him at Royal Ascot.

We thought he ran well the first but then you look at the distance he got beaten. He ran very green, and Ben said he’d learn a lot. He’s a horse that needs plenty of work and he’s thrived on his work. I thought he still might need one more race before he was zoned in. I’d say he’s an above average colt and we might step him up in class now and see where he fits in.

She's a lovely filly and we've always liked her. She has just taken time. It is extraordinary, I thought the Lucky Vega's would be lovely early horses and they haven't been. She has plenty of natural speed and she's just a nice horse, a very nice filly. Lovely actioned and she probably needs the ground a little bit better than that. Oh yes (dream is very much alive) and he (Foley) has always liked her, but we have just taken our time with her. We could easily be putting her away, but I want to talk to Mr Zhang and we'll see.

She was impressive, she showed that at home. We’re delighted for Jerome and Lisa (Hulin) that bred her and they also manage the Sheikh’s horses as well up in Grangecon. It’s also brilliant for Robert, to get him a vital winner for the championship. He comes in and rides out for us twice a week, he’s a good member of the team so it’s great to help him. She wants that ground and she’ll get a bit further next year. We were trying to get her out on the grass, she came into us late. We had her entered next week if something happened but she doesn’t need to run again.
