Formscan By Mark Nunan - MURCIA (2) was a Grade 1 winner at Aintree in 2025, but wasn’t able to build on that in high-class handicaps last season. The Doctor Dino five-year-old got back on track when winning a Listowel contest similar to this one in May, and has good prospects of staying 2m4f around the flat and sharp Killarney circuit. Grade 3 winner Grainne A Chroi was third to the selection over 2m at Listowel, but will be better suited by this distance. Sixth in the mares' novice at Cheltenham in March after winning her maiden over 2m5f at Ludlow, Diamond Du Berlais is a useful second-string for Willie Mullins. %0A%0A%0A

That was great, we’re delighted. She’s actually a good mare, but she’s gotten stronger as she’s got older. We were a little bit worried as she got a bad fall before Christmas, schooling. She was telling us she was right but we were still nervous. Her skin was unreal. She’s tough and she actually did it really well. She came around the home-bend really travelling and he went for it. John hadn’t sat on her in a long time, but he won her maiden hurdle. We were just worried about today and we’ll see where we go now. We’ll see how she is tomorrow. She’ll tell us where we’re going next. That was amazing, I can’t believe it. She’s our pet at home. She’s not over-big, but she’s got a serious heart.

I wouldn’t be worried if I was Dan, he seems to have the thing fairly solid at the moment. I can’t see us winning it unless we win the Grand National and Dan has a complete flop, which doesn’t happen. We had an extraordinary year last year and we’re a lot more behind this year.

She got in under a few hurdles today but it is her first day racing over the new white hurdles, so hopefully that was the reason.
