I Hear Symphony returned to the track at which he made his first ever start when running from the Mags Mullins base, he finished second behind Fiveforthree that day before going on to win a Limerick contest at the third attempt.

The gelding had finished second on his last two starts and obtained a first victory over hurdles in this novice contest providing the raiding party with another triumph.

It was a brave performance to hold off a good yardstick in Raise Your Heart who just failed when all out.

The winner may not have progressed as much as the Willie Mullins trained Fiveforthree, but he should continue to progress and is one to look forward next season with a fence in front of him.

Raise Your Heart was consistent on the flat and considering where she is based, a dual summer campaign could well be on the agenda and on the day he just got outstayed after the last.

Another who has already been in the mix of a dual campaign this term is Jessica Harrington's Vaqueras who was a well held third here and he has managed just one win in 15 starts over the sticks and that was in an average opportunity hurdle.

Jimmy Ber failed to cause a problem at the business end and may well be a better horse with the experiences of this year. His form behind Tranquil Sea looks spot on now but he is just not really managing to fulfil his potential.

Young Milly was a maiden hurdle winner, but this proved a step up in class and connections can be proud with the effort. It was a wasted trip for Stellino who never got into the race.
