She was a filly we were looking forward to last year. She won her maiden well in Sligo and then she lost her way. She was a big filly and we actually couldn't find anything (wrong), so we just gave her time and she has come back this year and she has really got on the front foot again. We stepped her up the last time and ran her over a couple of furlongs further and realised she stayed. We stepped her up to a mile and a-half and that was an extended mile and a-half and she just skipped away. She likes a nice bit of ground but she seems pretty versatile. It looked like she would get further and Gary (Carroll, jockey) said that. Stepping up in trip has been the key. She is a filly in good form and she is in a sweet spot and she is improving. S. Foley, rider of Mellow Magic (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount finished lame. this was subsequently confirmed by the I.H.R.B vetinary officer post race

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident about three furlongs from home, involving Mellow Magic (GB), ridden by S. Foley, and Humtaza, ridden by C. Horgan where it appeared S. Foley had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, S Foley stated that his race was run when Humtaza edged out for a run causing him to take a slight check. C. Horgan, stated that he was full of running while looking for some racing room but didn't persist until the gaps opened further down the hill. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

An extended handicap for three years old and upwards fillies only (90 = 10st)
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
