THE PAUL RICHARDSON VISITING SEDGEFIELD TODAY OPEN NATIONAL HUNT FLAT RACE (CLASS 5) (Category 1 Elimination) (GBB RACE) Approaching the line, the winner, Connells Cross (IRE), hung right-handed bumping and moving Mords Lavie Spigao (FR), placed third, off its intended line which in turn gave a slight bump to The Gem State (IRE), placed second, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involve and that it had not improved the placing of Connells Cross (IRE).
Following the race, Joe Williamson reported that Smart Order (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
