She ran well earlier in the week and she was in such good form we said we'd give her a break after today. She was well-in here. We took her to the beach a few times to freshen her up. The boys (Fly Syndicate) all had tickets for the match and stayed at home so I'm glad it paid off. There is only one Listowel and a lot of the syndicate are from North Kerry. Senator Paul Daly in Kilbeggan is also involved, Eamon Leahy and the Kavanaghs from Charleville. We bought her handy early in the year when nobody had faith in her. The Stewards interviewed R.J. Condon, rider of Hewick, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that R.J. Condon was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g) in that he used his whip with excessive frequency. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended R.J. Condon for 3 racedays

Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. G.B. Noonan was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (e) in that he used his whip unneccessarily on an area other than down the shoulder or on the hind quarters. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards cautioned Mr. G.B. Noonan
