FormscanBy Mark Nunan - NAS NA RIOGH had some creditable placed form over the winter including a second to the smart Dancing City at Navan. Back from a two-month break, he appreciated better ground at Tipperary last month when a well-supported winner over this trip. The handicapper raised his mark by 5lb on the strength of that performance and the Walk In The Park gelding can follow up here. My Lyka won twice on the Flat in France and was bought for 110,000 Euros at Arqana in July. He has been given plenty of time to acclimatise before this hurdling debut. Undeniable Alibi has been in good form over 2m and his pedigree suggests he may improve for this stiffer test of stamina.%0A

He's a lovely horse and had a couple of nice bumper runs. We knew he wanted a bit of better ground. He's still a baby, still learning on the job, and will be better over a little bit further, I think. We didn't go that hard and I was a happy to sit a bit handier than I'd planned to be and to be pushing it along when I could. He jumped great and he's finished off great. The ground has dried out. There's no heavy in it at all and I'd nearly be calling it yielding to soft. It's definitely on the better side of soft anyway.

He had a lot of runs in point-to-points and his first run on the racecourse so maybe that livened him up and he was very good. My Dad (William, a Cheltenham Foxhunters Chase winning jockey) is a farmer and my uncle Eugene trains the horses and everyone works together and it seems to work well. I won the pony race on this card on a serious pony called Murphy Brown here a few years ago. I'm hoping to be a jockey but I'm in college in Cork and will get that done first. my horses have been hitting the cross bar but are running competitively so I can't complain. This horse has always worked nicely but has just taken time. He was impressive but I don't know what the opposition was like so we won't get carried away. I might run him again next week in Tramore. sadly his previous owner P.J. O'Driscoll, from Bandon, passed away last September having shown a lot of patience with the horse. He missed today but is probably looking down on us and brought us some luck.
