Amemri was initially part of our MRC International syndicate but wasn’t selling for enough (at 6,000gns) so instead I bought her as a present for my wife, so kudos to me! . She had won three races for the syndicate and, buying her, I thought she might win a couple. To win five-in-a-row and six for us is remarkable and she knows how to get a job done. She had a good break after her last run so I thought she would need the run coming here but she handled that ground well. She has had a good blow so hopefully there’ll be more improvement. She never really kills herself so is always helping us out with the handicapper. I’m delighted with Aviatrice as she has been off a long time and we actually think she is a very good filly. She has had stupid niggly problems so I thought she would need today’s run. She travelled well into today’s race but took a big blow.

He gave her a great ride - he is a very, very good rider. Tactically he is becoming much better aware and it is coming together. We just felt that she had a lot of weight on her back and I didn't really want to go the mile with that sort of weight on her back, so I just said we would take the chance with the six (furlongs). Seven is probably her trip, but she did it well today. The '65' bracket is gone now, but she is in great fettle. She is also quite effective on the turf and she is a lovely filly. There will be a turf campaign. We will end up giving her a break at some stage, but get her back for the middle of the summer. She has got a Dubawi on the top and she has got Pivotal on the bottom. She will make a lovely mare some day.

she is progressive, is a grand filly and she keeps my missus (owner Melanie Marnane) happy!. Amemri is great to have around the yard: she is a big, strong filly and just has developed well. She has got bigger and stronger. We liked her as a two-year-old and she just disappointed us, then she came back as a three-year-old and won a few. She was an online sale (in December 2023) but wasn't making much, so we brought her back. she is in the finals’ day here, so hopefully she will come back for that and she actually has good form on the turf as well. We haven't run her much on it and she has won in Listowel and Limerick but doesn't want extremes of going. She is always consistent anyway and that is all you really want from them.
