Admirable handicapper Amemri (steady at 10/1) registered a tenth success today and a first since completing a five-timer in 2024/’25, when landing Dundalk’s Winter Series Awards Day Handicap for owner Melanie Marnane and husband trainer David Marnane.

The six-year-old daughter of Time Test won five consecutive races from December 2024 to June ‘25 and while her rating has never gone beyond 76, today resumed winning ways, having again dipped to 57.

Ridden by Liam McAteer, Amemri encountered trouble in-running two furlongs out and then briefly bumped, but stretched clear in the final furlong by score by snugly from Comfort Line .

Trainer Marnane said "I suppose she is getting a little bit older so we just put the headgear on. She travelled really, really well the last day but probably didn't get the mile and Robbie (Colgan), who rode her, she was doing a handstand down at the '2' pole but just kind of got tired.

"We rode her a bit colder today and Luke gave her a great ride. She loves picking up off the pace and, even when she got into trouble, she still found plenty.

"She's quite a good filly and there's not many at her age have won 10. It is a lot of winnings, but she has given us a lot of pleasure."
