Silver Flash could be next now for Grace
Sea Of Grace justified odds-on favouritism on the back of a promising debut third placing fifteen days back when taking the Glenvale Stud European Breeders Fund Maiden (Plus 10 Race) at Tipperary. Sat 09th Jul
She's a wonderful filly to train. She's now won five Group races and been second in two Group Ones, sheer consistency,. We've won this race a lot of times and that's three years running now. This is a very good filly and I'd say she could be the best of them from sheer consistency. I've had it in my mind to go to Canada for the EP Taylor and that would be possibly her next race and then we'll go on for the Breeder's Cup Fillies and Mares with her after that. She used not to be that relaxed and that's why she wears the hood but on the race track all she does is battle. She's a very courageous filly and a very good one. Everything worked out well today with the tactics. The plan was to be handy and if nobody was making it to make the running himself. She's very straight-forward. She's a very genuine, very sound filly and I said if there's a nice gallop sit second or third and if there's no pace make it yourself as you're in the key box, drawn one. It doesn't really matter as when she won the Group 3 at Leopardstown we rode her from last. That was a very good Yorkshire Oaks. She was actually coming back going to the line. She looked for a few strides like she'd win it but they just quickened by her, with the three-year-olds having a weight difference. We'll look forward to Canada with her and then the Breeder's Cup. I'd say this is it this year. She's been a group winning two-year-old, a very good three-year-old and good four-year-old.

It was a very pleasing performance considering she hadn't run for 11 months since winning here. I think she's strengthened a lot since last year. She ran an excellent race behind Enable when she was placed in the Irish Oaks apart from her three Group wins. This was the plan to start back here, and she has a number of Group 1 entries in the coming weeks and months. She could run in the Yorkshire Oaks but we’ll have to see how she comes out of this race. The Fillies And Mares (at Ascot) would be a definite possibility for her. That was fast ground this evening and she bounced off it but she’s pretty adaptable ground wise. The Breeders Cup is also worth considering.
D K Weld
She’s tough genuine and game. She’s just a very good filly, and ran a very good race in the Irish Oaks. Enable beat her fair and square but I think she’s progressed and improved since then. She won the Group race in Cork nicely and you must remember she won over seven furlongs at Group level as a two-year-old as well. She’s a stayer with speed.
D K Weld
She's been very consistent and that was an excellent performance. That's it for this year,. I hope she will develop into an Irish 1,000 Guineas filly next year. We put the hood on to help her to settle as she was a bit keen the last day. I see her as a miler next year. Pat (Smullen) maintains she wants good ground as she is not the strongest of fillies physically, and she has a beautiful action.
D K Weld
Pat said she is a big, immature filly and still has a lot to learn. She broke a bit slow but has a lot of natural talent,. She will handle very fast ground, and the ground today was as slow as she'd like. She is bred to stay well as there is plenty of stamina on her dam side. She will go for a Group race next, and I'd not be afraid of a mile.
