Sun, 22nd Feb, 2026  They are amazing owners and they sort of give me free rein,. I thought the handicapper had caught up on him and didn’t think he’d progress unless we’d be better back at two miles on heavy ground. That was my last roll of the dice. I said to the lads after Christmas I’d freshen him up and wait for two miles on heavy ground. I was planning on riding him reasonably positive but then Tiernan came out and said there was loads of pace in the race. He gave him an unbelievably good ride today, he’s class and it’s great to have a stable jockey that’s able to ride like that. He was flat out on good ground, he wasn’t a summer horse. I always felt that he’d improve on softer ground. The horses are going well and it’s a credit to the staff at home, they are an amazing bunch of people. Anthony Elliott has looked after this lad for the last few weeks. I sent him to ride him up around the farm and forestry to do different things with him. It’s definitely been a big help. After race at Killarney Sat, 23rd Aug, 2025 (1st)  we rode the horse positively the last day but he was just too keen. He travelled well into the straight then but didn’t get home, so I said to Alex to take his time. He gave him a super ride, was very polished and that’s his first winner for me. He is owned by two publicans from Gorey (John O’Connor and Michael Gleeson) who own two different pubs in the town, so normally they’re in competition. I have great support locally and it is lovely to be getting winners for local people. P J Rothwell

After race at Kilbeggan Sun, 1st Jun, 2025 (1st)  I’m delighted. He got a dirty fall (on his previous run) in Limerick and Tiernan gave him some ride today. They went some gallop and he was flat out, but he was patient. He had three behind going out on the final circuit and gave him a brilliant ride. P J Rothwell
