Formscan By John O'Riordan - Bumper winner LITTLE GINGER(1) can gain a first victory over jumps. Runner-up in a maiden hurdle at this track last time, the James Fahey-trained gelding should appreciate stepping up in trip. With only the two previous runs over flights, the son of Crystal Ocean is open to plenty of improvement and arguably sets the standard in a weak affair. Young Doran would hold definite claims on his first two outings over jumps, but has questions to answer having finished completely tailed off in a Listowel bumper last month. He will need the first-time cheekpieces to make a huge impact. Fuusland looks best of the remainder.

Quotes on Little Ginger (IRE)
The owner was very lucky with his half-brother, Dromore Lad, and this lad is obviously going the right way. He’s not over-big but he’s improving the whole time. We’ll see now if Frank sells him or keeps him, he’s a nice little one to have. He battled well and I’m delighted with him. On his first run, Heather (Heffernan - partner) rode him and he was obviously very green. His second run was on very heavy ground in Limerick, which I didn’t think he’d handle. He’s learning as he goes and improving, which is good. We should have plenty of fun with him.
