Formscan - The class-dropping Holguin is respected, but it's also noteworthy that three-year-olds don't have a great record in recent editions. With that in mind, SAM MAXIMUS shades preference. He has been quite highly tried since being a surprise winner of last year's Hopeful Stakes at Newmarket and, as he wasn't beaten far in a Group 3 back on the July course last time, this presents a good opportunity for him to shine.
