Formscan By John O'Riordan - LADY DOYANNE(3) can register a first career win over regulation fences. A former point-to-point and hurdles victor, the Henry de Bromhead-trained mare has reached the frame on all four starts since going chasing. Third over course and distance in May, the six-year-old has already proven her ability to act around this tight right-handed track. With Darragh O'Keeffe back in the saddle, she holds strong claims. A consistent gelding of late, Leave In Secret shouldn't be far away once again. Having raced over further on his most recent runs, the seven-year-old should appreciate this shorter trip. Wexford winner Farrokh, who finished in front of the selection last time, is another with every chance in a competitive affair.

That was lovely. We had actually planned to go chasing with him. We were looking for one of those 110 or less beginners but there were none coming up for a while. He was in good form, I love running horses when they are in good form, and I said to the lads we’d go and try and win another hurdle in the meantime. Hopefully, it won’t put him out of them (beginners' chases) but we’re delighted. He gets two-and-a-half (miles), but a good strong pace at two (miles) definitely suits well as well. He was dropping back in class as well which made a big difference. I thought the Bellewstown race the last day was probably a bit too much anyway, a bit above him. He wants good ground and I was happy the rain didn’t come that they were giving originally. As long as he stays in good form, and the ground is reasonable, we’ll keep running.

I get a great kick out of winning these 0-100s as I hardly ever win them. It's normally Eoin McCarthy or those other brilliant trainers who operate well with these horses. We have an incredible range of trainers in this division and this horse had finished second in this race two years ago. We tried him with blinkers and cheekpieces but took them all off today, except for a sheepskin noseband. He jumped well, never missed a beat and the jumping won it for him. It is fine margins down at this level, but if you jump well and keep saving, that can make the difference. There might be something over fences for him in Galway.
