He ran poorly in Limerick, and it was a gamble bringing him back so fast, but the cheekpieces helped, tongue-tie helped, the ground helped and dropping him back two furlongs helped. . He jumped well. His jumping wasn't brilliant the day he won his beginners chase here but is getting better and better. Tiernan was very good on him and he jumped very well with him - I keep saying his 7lb claim is invaluable to me. The horse has been very lucky as I was finding soft ground all summer for him and was poking along through but Thurles this winter has really suited him. . I'm not quite sure where we go next and I'll see if I can find a novice handicap chase somewhere - he needs good ground.
