The winner, Harjo (IRE) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Huntingdon on 2 January 2025 where the gelding finished third of seven, beaten by 27 lengths.
It was noted that the representative of Charlie Longsdon could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Following the race, Henry Brooke reported that Finn Lough (IRE), which was pulled up, never travelled before making a bad mistake at the second fence.

Poste was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction firstly taking STORMING GEORGE (IRE) off its intended line before further taking BEL OMBRE (IRE) off its intended line.
