He's been hard to train, but today we thought we had him right. I'd say it was a weak race and he seems to have done it well. Hopefully, he pulls up alright. It is all about keeping him sound - he's an eight-year-old and he is after having just 11 runs. When we ran him, he kind of fell away. Today, he looked right and it looked a weak race. It is great to get a win out of him.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Chosen Shant, trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have pulled a shoe but to be otherwise post race normal
P.K. Donovan, rider of On The Tide, trained by Seamus Neville, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Padraig Roche, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of One Horse Army, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Padraig Roche stated that a step up in trip coupled with his charge jumping better than previously in what was a weak race had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.
