The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Zurich (FR), ridden by M.P O'Connor, placed second and Prince Of Air (FR), ridden by S O'Callaghan, placed first where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M.P. O'Connor stated that he was taken off his line when closing on Prince Of Air, and added that he received contact from his left which he felt cost him significant momentum. S. O' Callaghan stated that his mount was idling in front which caused him to drift slightly to the right. On questioning, he added that he had not noticed M.P. O'Connor,but corrected his mount when he did. He concluded that his mount went on to win well. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that Prince Of Air had caused interference to Zurich and as a result of this interference had improved it’s finishing position. As a consequence, the Raceday Stewards reversed the placings and amended the result to read as follows: Amended Result: First: Zurich(FR) Second: Prince Of Air(FR) Third: Warm In Gorey Fourth: Pakens Rock Fifth: Dutch Schultz Furthermore the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that S. O' Callaghan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard they suspended him for two racedays

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Dutch Schultz (GB) trained by Gavin Cromwell had blood at both nostrils post race

S O'Callaghan, rider of Prince Of Air (FR), trained by Charles Coakley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount drifted slightly right up the run in

S. D Torrens, rider of Warm In Gorey, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped right throughout.
