Approaching 1 furlong out, Reverberate (GB), unplaced, shifted quickly right-handed causing Mr Writer (IRE), unplaced, to be briefly crowded for room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Oisin Murphy reported that Mr Writer (IRE), which started favourite and finished unplaced, ran too free and William Buick reported that Crown Of Light (IRE), placed fifth, changed leads approaching the line and subsequently became unbalanced.
