Carver’s explanation that the blind became stuck on the bridle and was removed at the second attempt, was noted.
Following the race, Mason Paetel reported that Cannon Rock (GB), placed fifth, hung right-handed; Edward Greatrex reported that Caramay (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed under pressure and the Veterinary Officer reported that Gifted Angel (IRE), placed second, lost its left-fore shoe.
