Permission was given for Layla Liz (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.

An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the first bend involving the winner, Layla Liz (IRE), ridden by Luke Morris, Be An Angel (GB), placed second, ridden by Lewis Edmunds and Rye (GB), unplaced, ridden by Jack Doughty.

The interference was found to be accidental as a free-running Layla Liz (IRE) had momentarily shifted left-handed after changing leads entering the bend causing Edmunds to steady Be An Angel (GB), resulting in a hard-pulling Rye (GB), which was following clipping its heels and stumbling.

The Clerk of the Scales reported that Tommie Jakes, the rider of Naughty Eyes (IRE), placed third, trained by George Boughey, had weighed-in without his girth and surcingle.

The rider, George Boughey’s representative, the Clerk of the Scales and the Steward were interviewed.

Jakes was suspended for 3 days for deliberately weighing-in without a girth and surcingle, which he had handed to the trainer's representative after the horse had been unsaddled post-race.

Following the race, Luke Morris reported that the winner, Layla Liz (IRE), jumped right-handed from the stalls and the Veterinary Officer reported that Be An Angel (GB), placed second, had been struck into on its left-hind.
