He is light-framed - like a lot of Pour Mois, and has a light pedigree but is a really, really good horse. I've only had him five months but the minute he came to me and, with the work he was doing, he shouldn't have been doing it, so I knew he was good. I thought he couldn't be beaten in a point-to-point but he made a bad mistake and later fell at the last. He then had a good run here the last day, when he again fell at the last when he probably would have finished second. He is green but has loads of ability and just needed days into him. I think he is a good, good horse and his owners, who are very good supporters of mine, sell their stock. . I have some nice horses at present and him and (hurdles winner) Rebel Budz are my two best ones. Paul O'Flynn, trainer

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr A. Burke-Ott, rider of Bon Bon Fizz, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who apologised for his whip use. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the rider was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record, they suspended him for three racedays

Mr J.L. Gleeson, rider of City Of Cork, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount raced too keen throughout
