Oran wanted to make it, but there were too many who wanted to lead, so he changed plans. I don't give my jockeys too many instructions because so much can change down at the start. He travelled very well and I thought he had it at the bottom of the hill, but he has chucked it away a few times and is a bit of a thinker, so I didn't start shouting till late on!. It's a long time since he won, but he's been touching the door and deserved that.

Tramore Tue, 7th Jul, 2026  Bynx When I sold her to the boys (BTF Racing Club), I said we'd win a Flat race and a hurdle race and we also managed a chase in the middle, so now I have the triple crown!. She won a good hurdle race on bottomless ground here one New Year's Daym and is a great little mare. She loves it down here and both Paddy (Harnett) and I needed that winner. He gave her a peach of a ride. Fair play to Jamie Bergin, who is the head of the syndicate, as keeping 20 lads happy is never easy and he had been getting stick for her not winning on the Flat. The lads are all training for Drom & Inch (Tipperary) tonight and there's a match Friday night, so I said the hurling comes first. They are all good hurling men but other than that, they'd all be here.

Ballinrobe Tue, 26th May, 2026  Can Happen Shane Nolan, who used to train, organised the switch to our yard because Michael Mulligan (part-owner) would be local to us in Kilcock. I'm not saying I've improved him, because Mark Fahey is a great trainer, but maybe the change of scenery was a help. We said we'd try something different, so put the tongue-tie on, and maybe the better ground suited him as well. . He's lightly raced, so hopefully he'll get a bit of confidence from this and can progress a bit more.
