Poignant winner for Ethan O'Sullivan
Ethan gave him a great ride but unfortunately his grandad died yesterday, so it will give his family a lift,. He wanted to ride today and this is his first winner for me, which is great. Ethan started off with me as a Flat apprentice, moved home to Waterford and is now back with me for the past couple of weeks. Live To Laugh has been very consistent and is knocking on the door the whole time. I thought his first run over fences was good and he was then unlucky when a horse jumped across him here in January (causing him to fall). I think they will have good fun with him, I don't think he is ground-dependent or anything, so I hope he will win a few races. He is owned by a good bunch of lads from all everywhere and anywhere.

Griffin's 'quirky devil' wins a thriller
He is an interesting horse to train, he is a quirky devil and I have to go to the start every day with him,. He has had his issues at the start in the past and Natalie Bradley, who rides him every day and led him up today, does a great job with him. She has transformed him, as he was a very difficult horse when he first came to me. and gets on really well with him. He was much better behaved today and whether the (first-time) blinkers helped, I'm not too sure. It can be a contradiction in him wearing a hood or blinkers, but it seems to work. This is his level, he loves that testing ground and we'll save his chase mark for next season.
Bon Bon Fizz sparkles in the bumper
He is light-framed - like a lot of Pour Mois, and has a light pedigree but is a really, really good horse. I've only had him five months but the minute he came to me and, with the work he was doing, he shouldn't have been doing it, so I knew he was good. I thought he couldn't be beaten in a point-to-point but he made a bad mistake and later fell at the last. He then had a good run here the last day, when he again fell at the last when he probably would have finished second. He is green but has loads of ability and just needed days into him. I think he is a good, good horse and his owners, who are very good supporters of mine, sell their stock. . I have some nice horses at present and him and (hurdles winner) Rebel Budz are my two best ones.
