Approaching the final furlong, Em Jay Kay (GB), placed third, shifted quickly left-handed as the rider pulled their stick through, causing Classy Clarets (IRE), unplaced, to shy and be moved off its intended line, which in turn caused He's An Angel (GB), placed fifth, to be crowded for room, caught on the heels of Digital, placed second, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of any runner.
