Punchestown Thu, 30th Apr, 2026  Adrienne We have the dam and have a few more out of her. It’s lovely to win at Punchestown. Any kind of race at Punchestown is great, particularly at the festival. I’ve been coming here since I was nine or ten. I thought she’d run well. Jessie’s horse that won yesterday (Quinta Do Lago) had been behind her on one or two occasions and the handicapper said the four-year-old form was holding up well. She had a good man on her back. He had ridden her a couple of times and I left it to him. He’s not going to be champion jockey, we’ve a great champion in Jack, but he’s going to be champion jockey some day and it’s nice to have him on board.

Gowran Park Wed, 22nd Apr, 2026  Kitty Bear Orla was hitting the front too soon on her in her last few runs so I explained to her today to hold her up,. The filly wasn't helping her by stopping out in front and running around the place, and probably should have won at Dundalk two starts ago. She is versatile and is great for Orla, who is with me full-time and is a great worker. The owners (Kerwins and Kehoes, relations from Laois and Tipperary) had a few horses who were out injured, so I told them to buy this one. She only cost the lads 2,000 euro and has now won twice.

Dundalk Wed, 1st Apr, 2026  Stone Bear She got on great with her and she settled. The last day she ran over seven (furlongs) which didn't suit her and she had a terrible draw on the outside. She ran just too free and didn't settle whereas today a good draw in six, bit of cover over six furlongs. In fairness to her the last day, with as free as she was, she was still there a furlong down and didn't get home. Today worked out perfectly and we were delighted when we saw the draw that she would get a bit of cover. She's progressive and she is quick and probably could get a little bit quicker. There is a race in a month's time here back to five (furlongs), three-year-old only, so we wouldn't rule that out. She likes a bit of nice ground (on turf), so we wouldn't be in any panic. We will probably come back here for that race and give five a chance. Those Kodi Bear's are quick - there was three of them in that race today. She's out of a mare by Exceed And Excel, so that is where the speed is coming from and you'd imagine with the more races she gets, she might even get a bit quicker. She's a nice little filly and is a sister to Four Blondes with a nice pedigree, so hopefully she keeps going.

Naas Sat, 7th Feb, 2026  Coole Cafe The last day was my own fault. The first day she had ear plugs in, and I let Deccy (Lavery) ride her too close to the pace the last day and she got very lit up as I forgot to put the ear plugs in. She was rotten keen and he couldn’t get her settled at all. It was ideal there today, only five runners she could follow them around in last and she has loads of gears. It was a very good performance. She went through the line well and she’s a nice filly. Going forward she’s going to learn. Back over hurdles on nice ground, going a gallop, we’ll be fine with her. We wouldn’t rule out trying to pick up a bit of black type in a bumper. I don’t know if she qualifies for a UK Listed bumper as she won the academy hurdle. We’ll have to look into that. There is a race at Sandown on March 3rd, so we’ll explore that.
