- Stewards Report
The Stewards held an enquiry following a report from the Veterinary Officer that a syringe was found during a routine search of the travelling bag of Always A Saint (IRE) trained by Charlie Fellowes.
The Trainer’s representative, the Veterinary Officer, the Investigating Officer and the Stable Yard Inspector were all interviewed.
Being satisfied that the colt had received only normal food and water by mouth on the day of racing, the Stewards allowed Always A Saint (IRE) to run.
A report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
Following the race, Tyler Heard reported that Space Alexander (IRE), unplaced, stumbled leaving the stalls.
