Formscan - Although thwarted in his bid to land a four-timer when a head second over 2m here three weeks ago, EL ROJO GRANDE lost little in defeat. The son of Ocovango looks ready for a return to an extended 2m3f and he may find enough improvement to defy a 3lb rise in the ratings. Boston Joe was underwhelming when pulled up over timber at Chepstow in January, but his previous efforts at this venue make him a live danger. Bangor runner-up Port Or Starboard is a feasible alternative.
