Formscan By John O'Riordan - SUZIE SONGS(1) has to put a disappointing reappearance run behind her but looks the class act if doing so. A Group 3 winner at two, the Ger Lyons-trained filly kept smart company and, always managed to acquit herself well. While there is an obvious question mark against her following that Leopardstown run, it is a bit too early to suggest that she hasn't trained on. If anywhere near her best, the Moyglare Stud Farm owned filly should prove too classy. L L Koulsty beat two subsequent winners when scoring at Cork last time. Well treated at the weights, he looks sure to run his race. Ocean's Breath would be dangerous if allowed to dominate from the front.

Quotes on Suzie Songs (IRE)
it was a last minute decision to run her but the beautiful thing about training for Moyglare, is you are allowed to do that and there are no set plans. I’m blessed with owners like that, I wake up and can change my mind and do whatever. Today’s race wasn’t the plan and she hasn’t worked since Cork but we were watching entries so I just threw her in. I thought it got to her today, so we’ll give her a wee break and come back for the sponsors race, the Moyglare (Stakes Group 1, September): it’s a race I’d love to put on the CV. We’ve a horse who ran well last night (Justiciar) and this filly, so have a nice bunch of horses heading that route. Colin said in Cork that Suzie Songs wanted further and sticking to the original plan, her next race would have been over seven (furlongs) but this presented itself during the week with few entries, so here we are.

Quotes on Ocean's Breath (IRE)
I hoping that the step up in trip would suit him. We had to draw a line through what happened at Naas, he was left on his own. He’s such an honest horse. I said around a bend here we’d try him over seven. I declared him for Sunday, over six (at Navan), just in case I was wrong. Gary said doing that he’d nearly get a mile, the way he ran on. He’s only a baby, and still a colt, so there is plenty of improvement. He has a great temperament and, as I said last night, I love that sire, he has been good to us.

Quotes on L L Koulsty (IRE)
He had a grand run here the last day and we were happy when 'heavy' came into today's going description (after the fourth race). He stays a mile but I think he is better over seven (furlongs) and he relaxed fine with the cheekpieces off. We initially had thought of him as a Madrid Handicap-type horse, but in February we brought him to Newcastle for the all-weather over a mile, which didn't work, but thankfully he is running a lot better back on turf. We will come back here during Royal Ascot as there is a nice handicap for him, when he'll be in off a light weight in a better race.

Quotes on Sir Benji (IRE)
He had a turn of foot on it (ground). Looking at the pedigree, I don't think anything has gone any further than a mile. I was conscious there to drop him out and give him a chance to come home. He showed a lovely turn of foot. He (Carroll) said he really handled that ground, and I suppose (other) horses hate that tacky ground. He actually enjoyed it.
