That was great - she looked beaten, but once she pulled out and got daylight, Brian said she just got her second wind and away with her. I'm very pleased with her because I think the other mare (Karoline Banbou) is good, two nice mares first and second. At this stage of the year, everything has to step up into graded company. There's not much left, but it'll be after the New Year.

It’s not before time anyway! She could have won first time out the same,. She ran a bit keen but he grabbed a good hold of her and settled her in front. They went 34mph nearly the whole way around, they went a fair gallop. She’s a grand filly to have. The lads are anxious to go to Cheltenham in October so we’ll probably go there for a novice hurdle.

It was (drop of rain was very welcome) because to be honest coming up the road there, we weren't sure that we were going to be running. I was happy enough it was safe for her. It is great to start off the season with a win. We had a frustrating time with her last season, she was a bit in and out. She can be a little bit tricky and she has come out the wrong side in photo finishes before, so she is not winning out of turn. She's a well-bred mare and it is nice to get the win with her.
