Permission was given for Echo Of Glory (IRE) and Suzuka (GB) to wear a red hood to post and for Lord Capulet (IRE) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the home bend involving Captain Pickles (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Matthew Lloyd Slater and SIMBA’S GIFT, unplaced, ridden by Callum Rodriguez.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Lloyd Slater was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.
Lloyd Slater was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had misjudged the size of the gap between El Fox (GB), placed fourth and SIMBA’S GIFT, unplaced, when attempting to improve his position and made contact contact with the hindquarters of SIMBA’S GIFT, unbalancing that gelding which also resulted in him briefly losing his action.
Following the race, Callum Rodriguez reported that SIMBA’S GIFT, unplaced, suffered interference on the home bend and William Carver reported that Moonlight Bomb (GB), placed third, was denied a clear run on the home bend.
