The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Take Charge Star, ridden by B.M. Coen and Andab, ridden by D. Browne McMonagle where it appeared these horses bumped. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. B.M. Coen stated that he stayed on the rail when the horse in front of him started coming back on him. A gap appeared but he wasn't quick enough to get into the gap. D. Browne McMonagle stated that he was in the one lane all the way and maintained his line when he got pressure from the inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found B.M. Coen in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for three race days

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined New Yorker (USA), trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
