Dundalk Wed, 4th Dec, 2024  Ohmyviette A good first run, and he didn't settle at all the second day and he ran out of gas. When we got him back, he seemed to have some kind of mouth ulcer and we treated that. In fairness, he dropped him in today. He hung a bit right at the end but finished out well. He's a big, good-looking horse and is only going to get better. It was probably a bit of a poor race, but he has a bit of an engine for sure. I'd say he won't run for a couple of months, he's very big and I'd imagine a little bit of a break would suit him. We'll see what the owner (Leidiana Marques) thinks.

Curragh Sun, 3rd Nov, 2024  Engines On It’s been a frustrating year for us. I knew I had a good horse but everything was difficult — the ground was wrong, the draw was wrong. I thought he wanted further, but I put him in this as it was the last day and the ground was perfect for him. We’ve taken a bit of time to ride him the right way and Rory did it perfectly today. We had in the back of our minds that we might go hurdling next spring and we might mix it.

Dundalk Fri, 1st Nov, 2024  My Girl Sioux She deserved her turn. Maurice Aherne and Ronnie Cagney own her together and I'm delighted for them as they are after persevering a long time with her and she's owed them that. They went hard and in theory she came up the wrong side.

Dundalk Fri, 20th Sep, 2024  Powerful Nation He stumbled coming to the line in Tipperary and we felt that's what got him beat. He had a little high suspensory injury. . We took him up to Stephanie Moore who has a spa and he's only back on the go five or six weeks. . I was going to bring him here today for a piece of work, because I want to go for the Legacy Stakes. When I saw this race I said he might as well run. . I've never had anything as fast as him. Today was a gallop for the Legacy. He's a good horse and the owner is in no hurry to sell him which is lucky for me. . I'd say he'd stay six but he has so much speed, why change it. He's hacking all over those a furlong down.

Sligo Wed, 7th Aug, 2024  Noble Nation He was green when he hit the front and there's plenty of room for improvement. His future is going to be in handicaps and an ease in the ground around here, and going through those gaps, will make a man of him. I thought there were going to be traffic issues and that we wouldn't get through, but Joey was patient and did a brilliant job. He's still a bit green but will get better and braver with racing.
