An enquiry was held into the start of this race and the participation of Justcallmepete (GB), ridden by Dougie Costello.
The rider and the Starter were interviewed and shown recordings of the start.
The Stewards considered that the gelding was prevented from starting on equal terms due to stall 9 not opening at the same time as the remainder of the field and ordered that Justcallmepete (GB) be declared a non-runner.
Donagh Murphy, the rider of the winner, Lazzar (IRE), struck Jason Watson, the rider of Stanley Spencer (IRE), placed third, once over the arm with the whip but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was considered to be accidental.
Following the race, Ryan Kavanagh reported that Supreme King (IRE), placed fifth, was denied a clear run inside final furlong.
