The daughter of Jeremy should have won over a mile on testing ground at the Curragh last May when her rider failed to spot a rival on the opposite side of the track but opened her account at the first time of asking over hurdles at Musselburgh last month. She may struggle to get home on this testing ground but is probably worth taking the risk on her handicap debut off a light weight. At the other end of the handicap, Cliff House takes a drop in class following a reasonable effort over course and distance behind Henry Higgins in the valuable Coral.ie Hurdle. It’s hard to believe that Joshua Lane is still a maiden having finished third to Silver Concorde in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham nearly two years ago. However there is some light at the end of the tunnel following his handicap debut behind Go Paddy Go at Naas last month. It’s a bit surprising that Barry Geraghty is aboard Blazer, who disappointed over fences here last time. Improver was certainly not done with when falling two out at Thurles, and any market move would be interesting in his first handicap.

An extended handicap hurdle for four yrs old and upwards (140 = 11st 10lb)
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap to carry 6lb extra for each hurdle race won. Any horse rated above 140 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 11st 10lb. Subsequently, the excess over 140 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. (For the purpose of this note, any four or five year old rated above 140 shall have the applicable weight for age allowance then prevailing deducted from the horse's rating prior to the original calculation of the handicap)
