Formscan By John O'Riordan - A winner over fences at Punchestown last time, VAUREAL(5) can follow up off a lower hurdles rating. Relatively unexposed over flights, the Ian Donoghue-trained gelding landed a maiden hurdle for previous connections a couple of seasons back. In decent form at present, the seven-year-old has good claims from a mark some 17lb below his current chase rating. Runner-up at Downpatrick last month, Dairy Force should once again be involved at the finish. Despite only boasting the sole win from 18 starts, the Gordon Elliott-trained gelding has finished second on six occasions. Home By The Sea proved disappointing at Navan recently but has place claims on the form of his previous two runs at Ballinrobe and Down Royal respectively.
