The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final 150 yards involving Alpha Centauri, ridden by C

O'Donoghue, placed second, Laurens (FR), ridden by D. Tudhope, placed first and Magical, ridden by R.L. Moore, placed fourth, where it appeared that Magical ran short of room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and furthermore took no further action as they deemed that any interference caused was accidental in nature

C. O'Donoghue, rider of Alpha Centauri, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount changed leads and lost her action twice inside the final 200 yards

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Alpha Centauri, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race
