It was a bit of a surprise to be honest,. The last day he ran in Tramore the ground was horrible and Andrew said he appreciated the good ground today. He's a fine big horse but he just has his days and we caught him on a good day today. I was half thinking of not running because of the ground but in fairness to Andrew he said 'let him take his chance'. I suppose when the rain comes it's going to be difficult to win in this country. We'll put him in a handicap and see what the handicapper gives him. He can't be too hard on him because that was for horses rated 116 or less over hurdles so he's not going to hammer him. Id say we'll put him in a handicap somewhere in the next two weeks before the rain comes because when it comes it will come. That's the first time those colours are in my name in the winner's enclosure. The first of many hopefully. My father died two years last November. I've no Rubi Light or Sublimity anymore because I haven't got the funds he had!. It would be harder to buy them nowadays, it's getting very difficult. The amount of money they are spending is crazy but sure we'll tip away with what we have. I've only a couple in. The licence is up in February and I probably won't renew it. We had great days with my father but now I've no interest in training for anyone else.
