We have to give that one to Billy! He was brilliant and codded him along - he's definitely a bit of a monkey. He is generally consistent under both codes, the jumping seems to have sweetened him up definitely. His best Flat form is over 10 even though we have tried a mile-and-a-half, I don't know how many times. He's had a long year and the lads might be more keen on a jumping campaign next summer, he might get a break.

He was in off a nice weight and the watered ground is a plus to him at this stage. Alex gave him a beautiful ride and was probably lucky he wasn't brought down (by Miss Fourie), but our horse looked to have them all covered at the time. He wasn't highly-enough rated to win a maiden hurdle and, generally, this grade of horse doesn't get into these handicaps and it was a good pot to win. There has been a lot of racing lately, so they're breaking up a bit and thank God he got in. It is great for the owners (With My Little Eye Syndicate) who have stuck with him and have just rewards.
