He's just special, isn't he, cause he's a slow horse and he probably wants a bit further than that. The race cut up with the divide. . In fairness the owners are very lucky fellas, they've been lucky colours. This fella won four for them last year and they had another mare who won three or four for them as well. . He jumps fences alright so we might try that again. He's up (in the ratings) a bit over hurdles but he can go over hurdles as well. . Jumping helps him a bit, it gives him a little more pace. . He's entered next week but it might be a bit quick, he'll hardly go up much for that run.

Great for the owner Paul Kelly, he's from not too far from here so it is nice for him to have a local winner. Paddy works hard and is getting his chances now and he is taking them. He gave him a good ride claiming the 7lb and he is great value for it, and he is riding well. He is spreading his wings a bit now, but he has been with us for a few years now and he is a good lad. We were disappointed with it (last run) and couldn't out our finger on a reason for it. I actually just had to take my time with him after that. He has come here good form today and I expected him to run well. He surprised me now the way he stayed on.

He was bought to be a Galway festival horse and it's not too often you come to Galway and a plan comes together. He had a lovely run at Ballinrobe on his first run back and we train our horses for here - it is relief more than anything!. He is owned by a great 10-member syndicate (Street Wise Syndicate) from all over Ireland and our syndicates are supporting us well so this is a lovely place to be. I love this place. Both Downpatrick and Down Royal are so well supported, it is great to come racing to both tracks. He ran a lovely race in a better race the last day. Better ground probably suited him and he is one for the future. He is still learning, he is a big baby and took a long time to mature even though he had won his point-to-point. Hopefully there is more good days in him. We'll keep him on the go for a little while. He enjoyed the ground and relished the hill. He's a nice horse for the future.
