Kieran was absolutely brilliant on him and has really got to know him. He is a horse who needs waking up and engaging, as he is so laid-back. I thought he gave him a peach of a ride. Fair play to the horse, as he hadn’t run for a long time and he dug deep. It is a sigh of relief too, as I have banged on about this horse for long enough now so it is great to finally do it. People were probably bored with me talking about him and not producing, so hopefully this is his year and we could aim high now. This is a seriously tough division and it won’t be easy wherever we go but he has bagged a big one now. This is my first winner in Ireland so at least I can come back with some confidence.

That was nice, he's a nice colt,. He quickened up well, they went a good old gallop the whole way. He's tough and he'll probably just have one more run this year. He had to do it the hard way because he had to go and catch the pacemaker and then go away from him. Shane was thinking the other horse would come to him and take him along but it didn't and he had to go and commit. He'll go a mile, probably even this year. I don't think we'll go to the National Stakes, I'd say we'll wait for something over a mile in September. We've got two nice milers and we'll keep them well apart!

It was horrific to watch!,. That was just what we wanted, he quickened up nicely and put it to bed. Oisin was very happy with him. Everything went exactly how we wanted. I thought he was quite impressive today. I know he beat horses that he’s much better than, but he quickened up very well. Oisin felt like he was improving and said he gave him a very good feel. We’re very pleased.
