I love it when a plan comes together!. He came back this season after a long lay-off and I suppose it has taken all those runs to get him back to fitness being a veteran and knowing the game. That was a two-stone worse race than the one he ran in the last day and Jack (Foley) who rode him said he wasn't fit enough and said he blew up at the third last. I had seen horses being dropped (on hurdle ratings by the handicapper) to get into these races in the past and this race fitted him really well. J.P. (McManus) is beyond patient and I don't believe there is a more generous man out there although sometimes he has more faith in them than I or anyone else has. It's great that he stuck in. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined La Feline (FR), trained by Paul Nolan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Sil Ver Klass (FR), ridden by R.M. Power and trained by A.J.Martin. Evidence was heard from the trainer and rider concerned. A.J. Martin, stated that as his charge jumps well he instructed the rider to jump off third or fourth and to ride him for speed. R.M. Power, confirmed the instructions and explained his ride while reviewing the video of the race with the Stewards. He said that he lined up along the inside and on a fast pace to the first fence, his mount guessed at it, was very careful at the second and jumped very high at the third fence leaving him further back off the leaders than intended. From this point he wanted to restore confidence into his mounts jumping and from thereon his jumping did improve. He added that on the downhill run on the final circuit he was tight for room and got shuffled backwards leaving him well off the leaders. He advised that in the circumstances that he had obtained the best possible placing. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Sil Ver Klass (FR) was post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations.
