We talked beforehand about going around the inside and I told Donagh that if it wasn't working at halfway, to change tactics so he had free rein,. Obviously, the bends are well cut up but definitely in the straights there is a nice patch of fresh ground on the inside so we felt there was potentially an angle. . It was always going to be risky but he said he was happy and confident all the way. It is great that it worked out. She is going the right way, Donagh was very confident coming and she is a mare on the up. She has a great pedigree, doesn't lack a gear either and could come back in trip.

It was a lovely start, very straightforward. She got a lovely ride from Donagh, he kept it simple, and she jumped well for her first run over hurdles,. She had that experience coming from Colin Bowes', point-to-point, and that stood her in good stead. It was nice performance, and a nice change of luck because I had a run of seconds for a while there. She's a very nice filly and she deserved her day. She'll stay going for a few more months anyway, she's probably not one for Limerick at Christmas. It's beautiful ground here today. There will be plenty of mares novices' coming up or even staying novices, there might be a three-mile in Limerick. It was just about getting that out of the way today and we'll regroup now and think about plans next week. She'll get a trip no problem, she galloped through the line well there.
